Axel Ringhandt has been working in wind energy for more than 20 years. After his former position as Branch Manager Wind at Bachmann electronic, Austria he now heads project management of the Bachmann Monitoring GmbH subsidiary. He studied naval architecture at Hanover Technical University and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. After his diploma he participated in a 3-year UNIDO energy-related joint project with state owned development bank Nafinsa in Mexico to continue thereafter as project engineer and project manager in large international plant building projects in the chemical, energy and automotive industry at Preussag and at Zeppelin Group, among others. Before joining Bachmann, he led the operations division of one of the larger German windfarm operators with some 450 MW in over 40 wind farms. He is active in various standardization groups for wind energy.
